SASKATOON — A 17-year-old male youth is facing charges after a stabbing incident in the city’s downtown early Saturday morning.
Saskatoon police responded to a report of an injured person in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North at about 2:20 a.m. on April 18. The information they received was that a man had been stabbed.
During the investigation, police also located a 19-year-old man suffering from injuries believed to be consistent with a stabbing. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before taking to the hospital. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening.
The 17-year-old has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. He can’t be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
