Two wanted men arrested in Rose Valley area

ROSE VALLEY – Two men wanted on outstanding warrants have been arrested following a significant joint investigation in Saskatchewan RCMP’s Central district.

Prince Albert RCMP Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST), with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Rose Valley RCMP, arrested one man on April 21 in Rose Valley RCMP’s detachment area. He was located by RCMP CIRT inside an industrial generator on a rural property.

The accused was wanted on a warrant by Nipawin RCMP for charges including:

• one count, fail to comply with probation order;
• two counts; possession of a prohibited weapon when knowing possession unauthorized;
• one count, careless use of a firearm;
• one count, unlicensed possession of a firearm with ammunition;
• two counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized; and
• one count, possession of a firearm contrary to order.

The accused was the subject of a RCMP wanted release on April 14.

Another man was also arrested at the scene. He was located inside a residence on the same property.

This man was wanted on a warrant by Rose Valley RCMP for charges including:

• one count, break and enter;
• one count, assault;
• one count, possession of stolen property;
• one count, theft,
• one count, fail to attend court; and
• two counts, fail to comply with undertaking.

Both men are scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on April 22. The investigation is ongoing
