MEADOW LAKE — A 24-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in the death of Brandon Martell appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on April 20.
Skye Lasas, of Waterhen Lake First Nation, was remanded in custody and is scheduled to return to court on May 4.
According to RCMP, officers received a report at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 30 of an injured man at a home on Waterhen Lake First Nation. Responding officers located a seriously injured man, who was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
