UNITY – A man facing charges that include allegations of sexual assault involving a youth had his first court appearance on April 20 in Unity Provincial Court.
On March 24, Unity RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred earlier in the month in Unity.
The victim is a youth.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old man was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
At court on April 20, the matter was adjourned for election.
The accused is next set for another court appearance scheduled for May 25 at 10 a.m. at Unity Provincial Court.
