SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN — A wind warning is persisting in southern Saskatchewan for the second straight day on April 23.
Environment Canada initially issued a warning for southwest Saskatchewan, and it has grown to include the cities of Regina and Moose Jaw, along with communities in 123 RMs.
Wind gusts of 90-100 kilometres per hour are expected on April 23, the warning stated. The strong winds are expected to persist through the afternoon.
The warning is one of several currently in effect in Saskatchewan due to a powerful storm sweeping through the province. The storm has also caused travel not recommended advisories and highway closures in south-central Saskatchewan.
