LLOYDMINSTER — Two men are facing numerous drug and weapons related charges after Lloydminster RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit spotted a stolen vehicle during proactive patrols, in the Park Manor area on April 21. Police say the discovery led to a brief foot chase after the two suspects attempted to flee.
Both men were arrested and police seized suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, suspected morphine, unstamped cigarettes, drug trafficking paraphernalia, cash, a billy club, a machete, several knives, and other items believed to be linked to trafficking.
William Montana, 41, of Meadow Lake, Sask., was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of obstructing a peace officer, and failing to comply with a probation order.
James Blohm, 37, of Bashaw, Alta., was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and obstructing a police officer.
Montana and Blohm are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on April 27.
