REGINA — It’s one of the province’s most unique and high-energy fundraisers, and it’s back with purpose.
The 24th annual Saskatchewan Firefighters Calendar Selection Night returns Saturday, April 25 at the Conexus Arts Centre, bringing together firefighters, families, and supporters for a night that blends entertainment with impact.
At the centre of it all is a powerful goal: raising money for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support children and families facing serious health challenges.
“This is a fun night that brings people together from around the province to raise money for a really important cause,” explained President of the Saskatchewan Firefighters Calendar, Brad Woodard.
This year, 17 firefighters from communities across Saskatchewan will take the stage, each hoping to earn a coveted spot in the next edition of the iconic calendar. But this isn’t just about photos. It’s about connection, storytelling, and giving people a chance to support something bigger than themselves.

Audience members play a key role in that process.
“We’ve got 17 firefighters competing for a spot, and the audience gets to vote on who they want to see in the calendar,” Woodard said.
That voting power extends far beyond the theatre seats. Through the organization’s website, supporters from across Canada can watch video profiles of each firefighter and cast their votes online, opening the event to a much wider audience.
“People can do it from anywhere,” Woodard noted. “Even if you can’t attend, you can still be part of it.”
The result is a hybrid experience that combines a live event atmosphere with a province-wide, and even national, reach.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30. Organizers say demand has been strong, with several table packages already sold out, underscoring the event’s growing popularity after more than two decades.
That longevity has translated into real impact.
“It’s over a million dollars raised,” Woodard said, reflecting on the event’s history.
Behind the excitement, that number represents thousands of families supported, medical care enhanced, and lives changed through the foundation’s work.
The evening itself is designed to be both entertaining and meaningful. From firefighter introductions to audience voting, the event leans into energy and community spirit while never losing sight of its purpose.
It is also a rare moment where the public sees a different side of firefighters, not just as first responders, but as advocates and community leaders willing to step outside their comfort zones for a cause.
