As we celebrate 100 years of CKRM, one of Saskatchewan’s most storied radio stations, we are pleased to present a series of nine stories featuring icons of CKRM.
Our next icon is a voice you still hear every day on 620 CKRM…Colin Lovequist.
Colin shares how he came to realize he might be better suited to broadcasting than to teaching or taking over the family farm… and the journey that followed.
From a wild start in northern Manitoba to a career that eventually brought him closer to home, and finally to CKRM. It’s a story of passion, persistence, and lots of personality.
Colin talks about his love of music, what it was like handling the main stage at Craven, and the exciting times still ahead at 620 CKRM.
