LOON RIVER – SaskTip is reporting that conservation officers are investigating after two deer were found dead near Loon River.
On March 23, at approximately 8 p.m., Loon Lake conservation officers responded to a report of two deer found deceased near Loon River.
Upon investigation, officers located two white-tailed deer within 100 metres of each other along the roadway.
Both animals appeared to have been shot multiple times with small calibre firearm rounds.
Officers are seeking any information the public may have regarding this event.
A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the individual(s) involved. Calls are not traced or recorded in any way and callers may choose to remain anonymous.
