REGINA — Four people are facing charges following a three-month investigation into a robbery that left a man with serious injuries in the city's Cathedral area.
A 33-year-old woman appeared in Regina Provincial Court April 21 to face a robbery charge. Another woman and two men appeared in court in February to face various charges including robbery to break and enter.
Their charges stem from Jan. 29 when officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2300 block of Robinson Street for a report of an injured person. The caller told police that an injured man had gone to her home with what appeared to be significant stab wounds.
Police and EMS arrived on scene and the victim, a 50-year-old man, was taken to hospital with, what appeared to be, serious injuries. Through investigation, police learned the victim was at his home with a woman, who was known to him. Two men broke into the home, stabbed the victim and assaulted him with bear spray before taking undisclosed items from the home and fleeing the scene. The woman, who was initially inside with the victim, also fled along with a fourth woman who was waiting outside.
