REGINA — A 17 year-old male is charged in relation to a robbery that occurred earlier this week outside a business in the 3500 block of Dewdney Avenue.
Officers were called to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m. on April 28. When they arrived, they located an adult male victim who told police he and a second adult male were exiting the business when they were assaulted and had personal items stolen by a group of individuals. One of the victims suffered minor injuries during the robbery.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, on April 30, search warrants were executed on two residences in the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street. Members of the SWAT team, Patrol Unit and Street Gang Unit assisted in the police operation.
A 17 year-old male, who can't be named due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with two counts of robbery.
He made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Youth Court on May 1.
