REGINA — Two men charged with second-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Myles Anderson appeared in Regina Provincial Court.
Jordan Goodpipe, 26, appeared on May 1. He was remanded in custody and is now scheduled to appear on May 15.
Blayne Okemaysim, 29, was in court on April 30. He was also remanded and his case was adjourned to May 7.
Anderson was found injured in the North Central area of Regina at about 1:15 a.m. on April 13. Officers responding to the scene in the 3100 block of Fifth Avenue began life-saving measures, but EMS later pronounced Anderson dead. The Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service were called in to investigate.
According to Anderson’s obituary, he was a father of three children.
“He was a resilient, courageous, kind-hearted soul, who was full of jokes and always loved to make those around him laugh and smile,” the obituary reads.
