REGINA — Construction season is underway. Here are some traffic tips for Regina drivers.
Deergrove Crescent
From May 12 to 14, Deergrove Crescent will have a parking restriction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews conduct surveying in the area.
11th Ave – McIntyre to Albert Street
From May 12 to October 30, 11th Ave from McIntyre to Albert St will be closed to complete water and roadways work as part of the 11th Avenue Revitalization Project.
Here are some longer-term restrictions:
Ring Road – McDonald Street to Winnipeg Street
Until May 25, there will be lane restrictions on the eastbound lane to modify the elevation of the drainage ditch. Work began May 11
McIntyre Street – 11th Avenue to Saskatchewan Drive
Until May 30, McIntyre Street will be closed while SaskPower completes work in the area. Work began May 4.
Victoria Avenue East – Zinkhan Street to Tower Road
Until June 1 at 6 p.m., there will be a westbound lane restriction and speed reduction to extend a watermain. Work began April 20.
Lakeview Avenue – Queen Street to McIntosh Street
Until June 8, there will be a full road closure to complete concrete replacement and paving. Work began April 27.
Sherwood Drive – 7th Avenue North to Williston Drive
Until June 24, there will be lane restrictions to allow for pavement repairs. This will be a phased approach to allow for better traffic flow. Work started April 27.
Froom Crescent – Vaughn Street to Cushing Crescent
Until July 3, there will be lane restrictions for open pits to reline existing watermains. Lane restrictions will only occur around the pits. Work began April 28.
Wascana Street – 17th Avenue to 19th Avenue
Until July 24, lane restrictions will occur to reline a watermain. Work began May 11.
McCarthy Boulevard – Mikkleson Drive to 4th Avenue
Until July 31, there will be lane restrictions to allow crews to clean and reline a sewer main. See Regina.ca/Southwest for details. Work started April 27.
Reynolds Street – 19th Avenue to Broadway Avenue
Until Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. there will be road closures on a block-by-block basis to install new storm water mains, water main replacement, curb and sidewalk replacement and roadway reconstruction. Work began March 30.
College Avenue – Angus Street to Albert Street
Until Aug. 31 there will be a lane restriction on the northside curb lane. Work began March 20.
Broadway Avenue – Francis Street to Edgar Street
Until Sept. 7, lane restrictions will occur to complete drainage work. Work began May 11.
Albert Street North – Bridge over Ring Road
Until Oct. 31 two-way traffic will be diverted to the southbound bridge for bridge reconstruction. The northbound exit ramp onto Ring Road eastbound will also be closed. Work began March 23.
