IQALUIT — RCMP arrested a 27-year-old man from Saskatoon, Sask, who was carrying $16,000 in cash after he took a flight from Pangnirtung to Iqaluit on May 11.
Yahya Mohammed faces charges of possession of proceeds of a crime, two counts of breaching probation and two counts of breaching a release order.
The accused was under court conditions to live at his home in Saskatoon, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for violating those conditions, according to police.
Mohammed is scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace on May 14 and remains under arrest.
