REGINA — The City of Regina says its mosquito control program is underway.
The city says crews are sampling water bodies across Regina and treating areas with mosquito larvae using an organic, Health Canada-approved product safe for birds and aquatic life.
It may seem early in the season, but the city says residents can help by removing standing water from their yards.
"Birdbaths, flowerpot saucers, clogged gutters and even a cup of water can breed hundreds of mosquitoes," the city points out.
