Busy schedules have forced a lot of people to seek more convenient options for food and grocery shopping nowadays. One of those healthier, convenient options consumers choose is bagged salads because they’re easy and they come in several different varieties, such has southwest, Asian, or bacon caesar.
One man from Australia got a real surprise in his bag of lettuce when he was preparing a meal for guests. As he opened the the sealed bag, he found a live frog hanging out on the leaves. Rhys Smoker of Esperance, Australia was making a salad as part of a larger meal with friends when the little green frog was discovered. No details as to what type of frog it was or if it was a poisonous variety.
It came as quite a surprise for both Smoker and his friends, who didn’t believe him at first until they sw the frog. They all decided to name the frog “Greg” before releasing the amphibian into a pond near their home. According to various media reports, they even played the song “crazy frog” as they sent it on its way.
As for the bag of lettuce, Smoker says the store apologized for the unexpected creature and gave them a replacement bag of lettuce.
