MANKOTA — Conservation officers from the Assiniboia area are investigating an incident involving the unlawful waste of fish at Summercove reservoir approximately 6.5 miles south of Mankota.
Officers received information that four whole northern pike were found discarded and left to waste. It is believed the fish were caught and abandoned sometime between May 15 and May 18.
Conservation officers are asking the public for any further information that may assist in their investigation. If anyone observed any unusual or suspicious activity, vehicles, or individuals in the area during this time it may assist in the investigation.
