Original report: REGINA — Police asked residents to shelter in place Wednesday as officers conducted an operation in the city’s North Central neighbourhood.
In an advisory issued May 14, the Regina Police Service said the operation was ongoing in the 1000 block of Garnet Street and asked the public to avoid the area.
“Those in the area are asked to shelter in place and motorists and pedestrians are asked to choose an alternative route,” police stated in the advisory.
Police did not provide details about the nature of the incident or whether anyone had been arrested.
The Regina Police Service said updates would be provided as more information became available.
“We thank you for your understanding and co-operation,” the advisory stated.
