The Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation welcomed over 200 youth athletes across 10 teams to this year’s Northern Saskatchewan Football League Jamboree at Saskatoon’s Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
Wrapping up today, footballers from Grades 9-12 across northern Saskatchewan came together for two days of football development, mentorship and leadership coaching, with Riders alumnus Dan Clark and 2026 Plaza of Honour inductee Dan Clark among the coaches at Friday’s session.
Participating schools this year include those from Creighton, Sandy Bay, Pinehouse, Air Ronge, Cumberland House, Beauval, Churchill, Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation and Stanley Mission.
The camp concludes today with all 10 teams invited to attend Saskatchewan’s pre-season finale in Saskatoon against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The NSFL is a grassroots amateur football initiative focused on creating opportunities for youth in northern communities, this year marking the first time the Jamboree has been hosted in Saskatoon.
