MANKOTA — Conservation officers from the Assiniboia area are investigating an incident involving the unlawful waste of fish at Summercove Reservoir, approximately 10 1/2 kilometres south of Mankota.
According to a post on the Sasktip Facebook page, officers received information that four whole northern pike were found discarded and left to waste. It is believed the fish were caught and abandoned sometime between May 15 and 18.
Conservation officers are asking the public for any further information that may assist in their investigation. If anyone observed any unusual or suspicious activity, vehicles or individuals in the area during this time, the Sasktip post said it might assist in the investigation.
