SASKATOON — A 28-year-old woman is facing several charges after police say she fired shots from a sawed-off shotgun on the city’s west side early Monday morning.
At approximately 1:40 a.m., May 26, patrol officers responded to a restaurant in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West after it was reported that shots were fired and bear spray was discharged.
Police say during their investigation, they located a backpack that contained a matching firearm in the 400 block of Avenue T South. In the same area, officers located a woman matching the suspect description and arrested her.
No one reported sustaining any injuries as a result.
The woman is charged with seven firearms-related offences and was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
