Wet roads and cold temperatures have created slippery driving conditions on highways in the province.
On Saturday, the Highway Hotline says the majority of highways are reporting with winter conditions and are subject to freezing. Rain mixed with snow entered the forecast early Saturday morning and has transitioned to snowfall during the morning and afternoon.
Highways surrounding the Leader area are deemed travel not recommended including Highway 21, 32, 321 and 44. The Highway Hotline says roads have turned to ice due to the precipitation overnight and in the morning.

According to Environment Canada, more snow is expected throughout Saturday as the temperatures begin to drop. The low for Saturday night is -14°C with a wind chill at around -20°C.
While the initial forecast indicates that the snow will stop falling sometime between late Saturday night and early Sunday, temperatures are expected to stay in the double digits for the remainder of the long weekend.
