Long-time Saskatchewan Roughriders and Regina Rams board member Don McDougall has died at the age of 82.
The Regina Sports Hall of Fame announced McDougall's passing Tuesday and the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame posted a tribute of its own Wednesday.
The organization said McDougall spent 33 years as a director with the Roughriders and 29 as the manager of the team’s game-day production team
In 1973 he also began a tenure of over 50 years as a director for the Rams. That time included a term as president during which the Rams won two national junior football championships in 1980 and 1981.
Twelve Rams teams from his time as director have also since been inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
In addition, McDougall served terms over the years as president for the Prairie Football Conference, Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and SaskSport.
He was inducted into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
