SASKATOON — Two people arrested by the Saskatoon Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit will stand trial on drug trafficking charges.
The trial for Abdi Faisal, 41, and Deanna Elsie Masuskapoe, 31, is set for Dec. 3, and Dec. 7–9, in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Case management is scheduled for Sept. 4.
They were arrested after the Guns and Gangs Unit, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit and Patrol, initiated an enforcement action at a home in Kelsey-Woodlawn, in the 1300 block of Idylwyld Drive North, as part of a drug trafficking and firearms investigation.
At the home police seized a loaded sawed-off Ruger, .22 calibre rifle, 98.37 grams of methamphetamine, 43.43 grams of crack cocaine, 30.12 grams of cocaine, 12.39 grams of fentanyl, 12 hydromorphone capsules, and $436 in cash.
