REGINA — A 16-year-old youth has been charged with assault with a weapon after two students at a school in the northwest were shot with an “Orbeez” gun (gel blaster).
On May 29, at about 12:40 p.m. a School Resource officer (SRO) received a report that the students at a school in the 5600 Block of 7th Avenue, were shot with at the time believed to be a BB gun while walking to school.
The youth, who can’t be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will appear in Regina Provincial Youth Court on July 9.
