SASKATOON — Two men are facing several weapons charges after an incident at a business on the city’s west side.
Saskatoon police say around 7:30 p.m. on June 1, officers observed a man exit a business in the 1000 block of Idylwyld Drive and begin to conceal a possible weapon. They arrested two men as part of a weapons investigation.
Through their investigation, they learned that one of the suspects had threatened a security guard before walking out of the store and pulling out a bat. The bat was recovered by police at the scene. A search of the other suspect resulted in police locating brass knuckles.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with uttering threats, possession of a dangerous weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon. A 25-year-old man has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breaching probation.
