According to recent statistics from Uber, two of the top three most forgetful cities in Canada in the past year are Saskatoon and Regina. Saskatoon was named the most forgetful in terms of leaving items behind in Uber rides, followed by Windsor, Ontario, and then Regina.
More items were left behind in Saskatoon Uber rides than anywhere else, the most common being cellphones followed by wallets/purses, keys, bags and backpacks, and headphones.
Victoria, St. John’s, Winnipeg, Montreal, Halifax, Kelowna, and Kitchener-Waterloo all round out the top ten list of the most forgetful cities in the country. On the flip side, Ottawa, Toronto, and Calgary were named the least forgetful. Meanwhile, in the United States, New York City was named the most forgetful.
The three most forgetful days in 2025 were Saturday, Nov 1st after Halloween, New Year’s Day, and Halloween night (October 31st). Most items were left behind Sunday mornings at 1am.
Some of the strangest items left in Uber rides in Canada included a black and grey switchblade knife in Regina which the owner claimed was handed down to them by their great-grandfather. A whole turkey was left in a ride in Toronto, 12 pizzas were left in an Uber in Brantford, ON, two humidifiers in Winnipeg, and a violin in its case was discovered in an Montreal Uber.
Some of the strangest items left in Uber rides in the US included false teeth with only two teeth remaining, pelvis implants, breast milk, and human hair.
