SWIFT CURRENT — The case of Ricky Manz, owner of the former Richmound school property where Romana Didulo encamped with her followers, has once again been adjourned, this time to June 24 in Swift Current Provincial Court.
The adjournment was requested due to the large volume of disclosure provided by the Crown to defence counsel, as well as to allow the defence time to review the material and ensure all matters related to the case are addressed before trial.
A trial would tentatively be expected to proceed in the new year.
The case dates back to September 2025, when Manz and Didulo — the self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada” — were arrested along with 16 others in connection with incidents at the former Richmound school complex. Five people were ultimately charged. Charges against Didulo were stayed on March 18.
Manz continues to face charges related to activities involving the Kingdom of Canada group, including failure to comply with an undertaking and failure to comply with a release order. A charge of intimidation of a justice system participant was stayed at his most recent court appearance on March 18.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
