The Regina Pats have agreed to terms with Washington Capitals prospect Alexander Suzdalev to a standard player agreement.
The 18 year old was selected by the Pats in the second round of the 2021 CHL Import Draft. He was taken by the Washington Capitals 70th overall of the 2022 NHL Draft.
Last season he played in the top junior league in Sweden and led his team(HV71) in scoring with 51 points (15G-36A) in 45 games and ranked 10th in overall league points.
Suzdalev moved to Sweden when he was seven after he was born in Russia. The forward has dual citizenship but has represented Sweden at the international level.
