REGINA — Human remains are believed to have been found in North Central on Tuesday.
The Regina Police Service (RPS) was called to the 300 block of Retallack Street at approximately 4:15 p.m. on June 9. Upon arrival, officers located what appeared to be human remains outside a residence.
The discovery led to the area’s lockdown, as the RPS major crimes unit and forensic identification unit, along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, were all called in for the investigation.
The death has been deemed suspicious, but no additional details about it will be released at this time.
Police say the finding of suspected human remains isn’t related to the on-going search for missing 35-year-old Camille Hilderman.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RPS at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
