Residents continue to survey the damage after a major hail storm hit Regina Tuesday evening. Trees, plants, vehicles, and windows were all damaged thanks to large, rapidly falling hail that was estimated to be marble sized or bigger.
The conservatory at Government House did not escape the damage left by Mother Nature. In a post on their Facebook page they say the glass roof has been destroyed leaving shards of glass everywhere inside. Officials say the conservatory will be closed for the foreseeable future.

The newly planted Edwardian gardens were also badly damaged in the storm with stems left broken and blooms torn away from the plant. Leaves and branches from many of the trees on the property were shredded and scattered amongst the flowers in the garden.

Government House, itself, sustained damage along its west side with numerous windows being broken. Maintenance crews have done significant cleanup since Tuesday’s storm allowing Government House to remain open on regular hours.
