SASKATOON — A 14-year-old male is facing charges following an incident where bear spray was deployed into an apartment overnight in the Pleasant Hill area.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., June 11, Saskatoon police were called to the residence in the 100 block of Avenue P South. It was reported that two male youth had kicked the door to the suite down before deploying bear spray and setting off a fire extinguisher. The males fled on foot when officers arrived. One male suspect was brought into custody.
The 14-year-old is facing two charges each of break, enter and assault and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
The 34-year-old victims suffered the effects of bear spray, say police.
