LLOYDMINSTER — A man wanted by Lloydminster RCMP in connection with a gang-related shooting that injured two men also faces numerous charges in Edmonton, Alberta.
According to Alberta court records, Robert Lee Plourde, 30, has a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 2027 in the Edmonton Court of Justice on 11 charges. They include two counts of possession of property valued over $5,000 obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless use/storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession was unlawful, possession of a restricted firearm, possession of a firearm in a vehicle, possession of a firearm with its serial number altered or defaced, obstructing a peace officer, and two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm.
Plourde, who is also known as Plourde-Dillon from Onion Lake, faces additional charges in Lloydminster. They include discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and three counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.
According to Lloydminster RCMP, officers were called to the Lloydminster Hospital on Nov. 10, 2025, for a report of two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Through their investigation, police say they learned that the incident was targeted and gang related. Officers located the scene of the shooting and a vehicle involved. They didn't reveal where the shooting took place.
With the assistance of the Lloydminster RCMP General Investigation Section and Lloydminster RCMP Forensic Identification Section, police executed search warrants and located the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting. With further assistance from the RCMP National Forensic Laboratory Services, police identified Plourde as a suspect. Police say attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful and the RCMP has obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Plourde is approximately 5-foot-10 and 264 pounds. He has a medium complexion and a tear drop tattoo near his left eye.
