REGINA — Threats made to Regina’s International Airport caused a large police presence Monday afternoon.
According to the Regina Police Service, a call was made shortly before 1:30 p.m. regarding threats made to the airport.
Upon arrival, police began looking into the threats. Currently, the threats appear to be unfounded by the RPS, as the airport is returning to normal activities.
Officers are still determining who exactly made the threats.
In scenarios like these, the RPS and Regina Airport work closely to ensure training and plans are in place to keep the public safe.
