REGINA – Heritage Saskatchewan has announced the recipients of the 2026 Lieutenant Governor’s Heritage Awards.
The award presentations will take place at Government House in Regina, on June 24, starting at 5 p.m. Lt.-Gov. Bernadette McIntyre, who serves as Heritage Saskatchewan’s honorary patron, will present the awards.
The 2026 Award recipients include:

In the Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage category
- Heritage Regina Legacy Tours – Heritage Regina, Regina
- Kahomani: Sweetheart Dance Teachings – Wanuskewin Heritage Park, Saskatoon
- Lost Knowledge Series – Naicam & District Heritage Society & Museum, Naicam
- Original Humboldt Treaty Sculpture – Humboldt & District Museum & Gallery, Humboldt
In the Conservation of Heritage Places category
- Holy Rosary Cathedral, Renewal Phase 1 – &Architecture
- SaskPower – Powerhouse Drive Facility – &Architecture
- Doukhobor Dugout House – Brenda Chevaldayoff, Doukhobor Dugout House Inc.
In addition, the Museums Association of Saskatchewan will present the Excellence in Saskatchewan Museums Award of Merit to Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery and Sadi-Rose Vaxvick.
According to the lieutenant governor’s office, Heritage Awards celebrate the ongoing and significant work that people in Saskatchewan do to safeguard the province’s heritage.
