


Rose Valley RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating three men wanted in connection with a shooting and robbery on Yellow Quill First Nation.
Police say a group of individuals approached two men who were walking in the community on the evening of June 20. Investigators allege the victims were robbed at gunpoint and that the firearm was discharged during the incident, injuring one of the men.
The shooting was reported to RCMP on June 21. The injured victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital.
Rose Valley RCMP, with assistance from Yorkton RCMP Police Dog Services, searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Following further investigation, warrants have been issued for the arrest of 23-year-old Kynan Desjarlais and 32-year-old Damon Nippi, both of Yellow Quill First Nation, and 29-year-old Rylance Quewezance of Saskatoon.
Desjarlais faces numerous charges, including robbery with a firearm, discharging a firearm, assault with a weapon, weapons offences, and possession of a firearm while prohibited. Nippi is charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and failing to comply with release order conditions, while Quewezance is charged with robbery with a firearm.
RCMP say the three men are known to travel to the Saskatoon area and should not be approached. Anyone with information on their whereabouts or the incident is asked to contact Rose Valley RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
