REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders are encouraging fans to wear white Friday night as the club debuts its one-time-only Prairie Blizzard uniforms when it hosts the Toronto Argonauts at Mosaic Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., with the organization asking Rider Nation to help create a "Prairie Blizzard" by filling the stadium with white clothing.
Adding to the event, fans who attend the game will automatically be entered into a special "Jerseys Off Our Back" promotion. Everyone who scans into the stadium will have a chance to win a game-worn Prairie Blizzard jersey, with winners receiving the jerseys directly from players following the game. The special uniforms will only be worn for this contest.
The pregame festivities begin well before kickoff. Saskatchewan performer Nino Hernandez of Porcupine Plain will sing the national anthem.
At halftime, Canadian recording artist JIMI will headline the opening performance of the Pepsi Summer Concert Series. The singer has built a large online following with a blend of rock, country and blues music and has toured Western Canada alongside Cameron Whitcomb.
The organization will also recognize 2026 graduates from kindergarten, Grade 8, Grade 12 and post-secondary institutions with an on-field celebration before the concert.
Outside the stadium, Riderland Park opens at 4 p.m. with dodgeball, live music, face painting, balloon artists, snow cones and an autograph session with Roughriders defensive back Rolan Milligan Jr. Regina country artist Amy Nelson will also perform.
Fans are reminded that digital tickets are required for entry through the Rider App. Free Rider Transit will operate from several Regina locations before and after the game. The team is also reminding spectators of the stadium's clear bag policy and encouraging anyone planning to consume alcohol to arrange a safe ride home. Drink specials and bicycle valet service will also be available on game day.
