MOOSE JAW — The Moose Jaw Police ICE Unit in partnership with the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Moose Jaw man with child exploitation related offences.
On June 24, the Moose Jaw Police ICE Unit along with the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a Search Warrant at a home in Moose Jaw. Electronic devices were examined at the scene and seized by investigators. Further, printed images of child exploitation related material were also located.
As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old man was arrested and charged on June 24 with the following:
- One count of possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
Further charges may result pending analysis of the seized electronic devices.
The accused appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on June 25 and was remanded into custody. His next court date is July 2.
