REGINA — A 19-year-old Regina man is facing charges following an aggravated assault in Rosemount – Mount Royal neghbourhood on June 27.
At approximately 2 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of Arthur Street for a report of a weapons offence. When officers arrived, they located an injured man inside a home. The victim told police he had answered the door and the suspect, unknown to the victim, came inside the home. The male suspect assaulted the victim before leaving.
EMS attended and transported the victim to hospital for treatment of, what appeared to be, serious laceration and puncture wounds.
Officers located the suspect and he was arrested without further incident.
He has been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on those charges on June 29.
