Medicine Hat Mavericks 11, Regina Red Sox 4
The Medicine Hat Mavericks erupted for six runs in the second inning and never looked back, defeating the Regina Red Sox 11-4 Monday night at Currie Field.

The Red Sox responded with RBI doubles from Brady Bye and Will Togher in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to four, but couldn't get any closer. Medicine Hat added three runs in the seventh and another in the eighth to seal the win.
Regina committed four errors in the loss and fell to 8-14, remaining fifth in the East Division. The Red Sox host the Swift Current 57's in a Canada Day doubleheader, while the Mavericks visit the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Wednesday.
Fort McMurray Giants 16, Weyburn Beavers 6
The Fort McMurray Giants flexed their power Monday night, blasting five home runs in a 16-6 victory over the Weyburn Beavers.
Carson Young, Marcus Arocho, Nick Sauve, Jordan Breen and Kieta Fujino all went deep for the Giants. Arocho finished a triple shy of the cycle, while Breen and Fujino each drove in three runs.
For Weyburn, Brayden Mayencourt stayed hot at the plate with three hits, including a pair of triples, but it wasn't enough as the Beavers dropped to 9-13 on the season.
Weyburn continues its road trip with games Tuesday and Wednesday against the Energy City Cactus Rats before wrapping up the week with a two-game set against the Sylvan Lake Gulls.
Elsewhere in the WCBL, Monday's game between the Lethbridge Bulls and Brooks Bombers was postponed because of weather.
