FRENCHMAN BUTTE – Update, July 3: A man has died in a rollover near Frenchman Butte.
On July 2 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Onion Lake RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 797 near Frenchman Butte.
Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. The sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital by EMS. He was declared dead by EMS enroute to the hospital. He has been identified as a 40-year-old man, from Lloydminster, Sask. His family has been notified.
Onion Lake RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
Original post, July 2: Onion Lake RCMP are currently on the scene of a serious collision on Highway 797 near Frenchman Butte. As this investigation is in the preliminary stages, police do not have additional details to share at this time.
