PRINCE ALBERT – Prince Albert RCMP are looking for public assistance locating suspects and vehicles associated with a robbery.
On July 1 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report that four people with a firearm threatened three individuals and stole their vehicle at a business on Highway 2, just north of Prince Albert. The suspects fled north on Highway 2 in both their own vehicle, a black SUV, and the stolen vehicle.
No injuries were reported to police.
A short time later, Prince Albert RCMP located a vehicle that matched the stolen vehicle’s description driving at a high rate of speed on Highway 355 near Sturgeon Lake First Nation. Officers activated their vehicle’s emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop. The vehicle was last seen driving west on Highway 263 near Christopher Lake.
The stolen vehicle is described as a red 2020 Hyundai Tucson SUV with Saskatchewan licence plate 754 KSI. At this time, both SUVs and the suspects have not been located.
One suspect is described as a female who may have pink-coloured hair and was wearing a baseball hat. The second suspect is described as wearing a blue or black plaid jacket. Police say they do not have further details about the other suspects at this time.
Prince Albert RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the areas near Prince Albert, Sturgeon Lake First Nation, or Christopher Lake in the early hours of July 1, to contact police by calling 310-RCMP.
