ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service (EPS) is investigating a break and enter and theft of a grey Arctic Cat quad.
The EPS said the theft was reported July 1.

In other recent police news, the EPS has received reports of a scam involving text messages claiming recipients have “unpaid traffic fines”.
The July 1 EPS report says the text message advises people they have a court date, unpaid fines or potential legal action, or they should send personal information. People should not respond or click on any links contained within the message.
The EPS said the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan and other government agencies do not communicate legal matters or related correspondence through text messages.
Also on July 1, police were asked to keep the peace during a property separation. The EPS said the matter was resolved without incident.
Police were called to the Pleasantdale area for a report of a combative, intoxicated man. The EPS said police attended and arrested the him for public intoxication. He was taken to cells and lodged until sober.
The EPS received a complaint June 29 of neighbours uttering threats against each other. The EPS said the matter remains under investigation.
Members are investigating a reported fraud in which the EPS said the victim lost several hundred dollars.
Police responded to a domestic assault in the Hillside area. The EPS said a woman punched and held a knife to another individual. On arrival, the EPS said the subject of the complaint was found to be grossly intoxicated. She was arrested and lodged in cells until sober, pending further investigation into the assault allegation.
