REGINA — It’s a new chapter for Queen City Pickleball (QCP).
On their social media, the pickleball organization announced they’ve secured a new home at 1333 Park Street in the Glenelm area.
QCP originally operated out of the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) District for a few years before its lease expired at the end of May.
Owner Phil Greenwood said he tried extending a lease with REAL, but he was unable to start any talks with the group. Part of REAL also underwent new ownership with Brandt acquiring several buildings on the land.
With their new facility, QCP said it will offer professional, high-quality courts, viewing areas, programs for new players, tournaments/leagues, and more.
Greenwood said the facility will be smaller than the previous hub, but the space can meet Regina’s needs.
Over the next few weeks, more details will be released on renovations and an exact opening date, as QCP intends to open the space in the fall.
In the meantime, the organization is looking for feedback on how the site can enhance the experience for players.
