SASKATOON — Police are searching for a suspect after a 70-year-old woman was stabbed during an attempted robbery in Saskatoon Monday afternoon.
According to Saskatoon Police Service, at approximately 2:15 p.m. on July 6, police were called to the intersection of 5th Avenue North and 24th Street East for a report of a stabbing. It was reported that a woman was stabbed by an unknown male who attempted to take her bag.
Arriving officers located a 70-year-old woman being treated on scene by paramedics for what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stabbing. She was taken to hospital for further medical treatment. Responding officers also searched the surrounding area for the suspect but were not able to locate him.
