BEAUBIER — An airplane crashed near Beaubier in southeast Saskatchewan on July 8.
In an email to SaskToday, the federal Transportation Safety Board confirmed that an aerial application aircraft collided with terrain after contacting a power line. The crop duster was substantially damaged and there was a post-impact fire.
The TSB said it is currently gathering information and assessing the occurrence.
In a post on its Facebook page on July 8 at 10:40 a.m., the Radville-Laurier Volunteer Fire Department said it was responding to a call south of Radville near Beaubier.
"Please be respectful of those involved and avoid the area," the post said.
According to eye witnesses, an ambulance and the STARS Air Ambulance responded to the scene. STARS confirmed it transported one patient to Regina General Hospital.
No further information was immediately available on the condition of occupants.
