NORTH BATTLEFORD – The Saskatchewan RCMP is renewing its appeal to the public for information eight years after Ashley Morin’s disappearance.
Ashley, who was 31 years old, went missing on July 10, 2018, in North Battleford. Investigators continue to treat her disappearance as a homicide.
The case remains active, and investigators with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Case Unit remain committed to finding answers and bringing resolution to Ashley’s family, friends and community.
Over the course of the investigation, progress has been made with the support and cooperation of members of the community. However, investigators believe there are still individuals who have not yet come forward with critical information.
Investigators have reason to believe that multiple people were involved in Ashley’s disappearance. Anyone with knowledge – no matter how small or seemingly insignificant – is urged to come forward to police.
“Eight years is a long time to carry the weight of what happened to Ashley. We believe there are people who know the truth, and we are asking them to come forward now,” says Inspector Ashley St. Germaine, acting officer in charge of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Branch, in a news release.
“Loyalties change, relationships change, and circumstances change, but Ashley’s family is still waiting for answers. If you know what happened, or if someone has confided information to you over the years, now is the time to speak with investigators. One conversation could be the breakthrough that brings Ashley home and helps deliver the justice and closure her family deserves.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Case Unit at 639-625-3156, 310-RCMP (7267), or their local police department.
