TISDALE – Saskatchewan RCMP charged a man after seizing firearms and illicit drugs in Tisdale.
On July 9, police officers with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team, Prince Albert Police Services’ Crime Reduction Team, and Tisdale RCMP Detachment executed a search warrant at a property on 102nd Street in Tisdale as part of an investigation.
During a search of the residence and a vehicle, officers located and seized:
- 56 grams of fentanyl;
- 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and two grams of cocaine;
- scales, packaging materials and cellphones;
- a large sum of cash;
- three firearms, two of which were loaded; and
- eight imitation firearms.
A man was arrested at the residence.
As a result of investigation, a 35-year-old man of Tisdale is charged with:
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm;
- three counts, storage of a prohibited firearm in a careless manner;
- two counts, possession of a weapon obtained by crime;
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl);
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine); and
- one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine).
The accused is scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on July 13.
