LLOYDMINSTER — Two men were arrested late July 11 after RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at the Lloydminster fair.
Responding to a call at 10:48 p.m. Lloydminster RCMP arrived at the scene and located an intoxicated male who had reportedly made numerous attempts to instigate fights with fair attendees. While officers were effecting the arrest, the male resisted and failed to comply with their lawful directions, say police. During this time, they add, a second male became involved and assaulted one of the responding officers.
As a result of the incident, Lloydminster RCMP have arrested and charged two males.
Quincy Wolfe, a 37-year-old resident of Saskatoon, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Overcome resistance;
- Assault peace officer causing bodily harm;
- Resist or obstruct a peace officer;
- Cause a disturbance.
Pierson Wolfe, a 31-year-old resident of Onion Lake, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Assault;
- Assault a peace officer;
- Resist or obstruct a peace officer;
- Cause a disturbance;
- Fail to comply with an order
Following Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing’s, both Quincy Wolfe and Pierson Wolfe were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in the Saskatchewan Court of Justice in Lloydminster on July 13.
Lloydminster RCMP say they are thankful to the public for their quick action and assistance in this matter.
