LA LOCHE – La Loche RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a shooting on Janvier Avenue in La Loche.
On July 11 at approximately 9:50 a.m., La Loche RCMP received a report of a shooting. Officers responded and determined a man discharged a firearm on Janvier Avenue, striking an individual. The suspect fled the scene running north into a wooded area.
The injured individual was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a Nike Tech brand black hoodie, black pants and a blue medical mask. Police do not have further details about the suspect at this time.
La Loche RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the Janvier Avenue area of La Loche in the morning of July 11, to contact police by calling 310-RCMP.
